A very old hand patterned teapot from Russia, dated 1834! This solitaire sized pot has exquisite repousse borders: A finely textured band near the top of the pot is decorated with putto or cherubs, musical harps and floral swags. The base has a floral border and just beneath the lid there is a foliate border. The pot has a very heavy ivory top knop and handle. Fully hallmarked, the teapot is in superb condition! How remarkable for a teapot nearly 200 years old to be is such fine condition!
