This is an exotic sterling silver hand hammered Arts & Crafts water pitcher ,vase form with flat bottom, sides that flare out then taper in at the top to slightly flaring neck with a high arching spout, It has a hollow handle with shield attachment to body and a heavy applied rim. It is marked with the Gorham mark, sterling, A 5183, 5 pint. It is 8 3/4" to the highest point, width 9" from handle to spout. 27 troy oz.tells you it is a heavy pitcher. Dated 1917 under the spout.
