A museum quality antique sterling butter dish,an example of classic style antique sterling holloware with a classic border and the Art Nouveau influence of flowers, with exceptional applied ornamental flowers, stems, and leaves on the front and on the back. It has a unique shape, very different from most butter dishes. The lid has a floral finial which unscrews from the inside with the original nut. Date c. 1900
