Crumb scoop, for brushing crumbs off your table linen when clearing - stops crumbs falling onto the floor when the table cloth is removed for folding, and stops crumbs getting in the wash. You brush the crumbs into the scoop. Silver plated, late 1800s to early 20th century, made by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, England and by the mark, it dates from 1879 plus. Measures 31.5 cm long. Pattern has reeded edges with little X ties. Very classic. Very good condition, just normal scuffing associated with age and use. No wear to the plate.
