Very rare, experimental Roseville Pottery vase. Great shape, color and glaze. Decorated with a clean and crisp geometric stencil design on three sides. FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION. There are non showing factory stilt chips to the base and a tiny factory separation line at the rim above one handle. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Vase is 8 3/4" tall and 7" wide. SUPER PIECE! Vase can be found on page 38 of Collector's Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery Volume 2 by Sharon and Bob Huxford and Mike Nickel. Along with the vase, a letter documenting the vase's history included. The letter states that it was originally from the Purviance collection and resided in the White Pillars museum, the White Pillars sticker is still attached to the underside of the vase. The letter states that this is the very piece that was photographed for the Huxford book and that it was a one of a kind piece that was never offered for sale.
