This extremely rare and delicate, intricately hand painted set of small dishes measures 3" long and 1.25" high to the top of the applied, hand painted and incredibly detailed rose and leaves on the edge of the scrolled, gold leaf rims. The interior of the footed bowls are each handpainted with an equally detailed rose. Softly drawing your finger across the rose you can feel the small ridges the brush strokes made! Each is unique with slight variations as they are handmade and painted. Possible purposes for these bowls - aside from being exquisite collector's pieces - may be for nuts, condiments or perhaps butter pats.

Bottom stamp simply reads "Handarbeit Germany" These beautiful pieces are in extraordinary condition with only slight crazing on the interior sides of the bowls. There are no chips or cracks apparent.
