Rare and striking Frederick H Rhead Arequipa Pottery vase decorated with carved jonquil leaves. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. There is a factory stilt mark to the unglazed base ring. Bottom marked with logo and 206 5 and appears to be artist initialed but they are not fully legible. Vase is 7" tall and 4 1/2" wide. Arequipa Pottery was produced in Fairfax, California between 1911 and 1918. Most of the pottery produced by Arequipa was finished and decorated by female tuberculosis patients.
