Victorian, circa 1880 Royal Worcester Majolica match holder. Modeled as a cherub leaning against a goat, holding a basket and clutching a blue ribbon which is wrapped around the goat''s neck. Turquoise interior to match holder. Green oval base. Vent hole to underside along with maker''s marks including a painted mark ''Y'' and impressed Royal Worcester monogram. Good. No cracks. Some small flakes to lower base edge. Kiln effect: slight crazing to cherub; glaze run from cherub''s hair. Repaired hairline to front of basket. Restored chip to end of left horn. Old restoration to cherub''s right hand, chest area and goat''s right horn. 5.5ins high, 4.75ins wide
