Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica salt in the form of a blue dolphin lying on the edge of a shell. Molded upon a naturalistic base. Hollow, cream underside with impressed maker''s mark and a painted mark. Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Tiny flake to fish tongue. Kiln effects: small piece of kiln detritus to right side of fish; a few glaze misses to lower base edge. 4.5ins high, 5.5ins wide
