Victorian, circa 1870 Minton Majolica match striker which features a pair of boots next to a shoe remover, sat on an elaborate base. Marks include a date cipher for the year 1866. No book reference found. Good. Kiln effects: Notable crazing inside one boot; faint, over glazed shrinkage line to the right hand side of the base; glaze accumulation to the bottom of the base. Restoration to two of the feet. 4.3ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.7ins depth
