Early 20thC Majolica strawberry set with six knives, held in a stand in the form of a large strawberry sat upon a leaf. Drainage hole to dish interior and underside of strawberry. Turquoise underside. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. Flake to one knife slot. Slight wear to knife handles. Some wear to under rim. Kiln effects: a piece of kiln detritus caught in glaze to foot rim; touch mark to one knife handle; a couple of glaze misses to foot rim. Restored chip to under rim of stand. Repair to one knife handle. Retouching to two other knife handles. 7.25ins high, 6ins by 7.5ins wide
