Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica cheese dome and stand decorated with daisy-like white flowers and mixed foliage on turquoise ground. Branch molded handle and air hole on top of the dome. Mauve interior. Mottled underside to stand. Three stilt marks inside the foot along with impressed maker''s marks and painted pattern number ''5223'' in reserve. Cover: Kiln effect: Some staining to the turquoise ground. Repaired crack to rim and another to one end of handle. Stand: Small rim flake. Slight wear to reverse. Kiln effect: slight staining to the turquoise ground. Two repaired hairlines to the rim. Restored chip to the foot. 7ins high, 10.25ins diameter
