The painting “Cyborg†represents heaven, earth and hell, depicted as a trio of characters. The sexual and innocent modern angel symbolizes every man's dreams of the ideal woman, in other words, heaven. The cyborg character, half human and half machine, represents our mechanical world with all its incumbent powers. This ferocious power is realized as we watch the creature lift a large dumbbell, whose ends are comprised of a pair of mighty feline heads, complete with snarling fangs. Lastly, the gatekeeper of hell is portrayed as a devil in the form of an octopus-like creature. Together this triumvirate works in tandem, displaying for us their interrelatedness, balance and all- encompassing power. They stand before us in an earthly setting, tethered to the world of reality, forcing us to realize their existence in the world as we know it. - (EW.0001)Edit Wolf - Cyborg - EW.0001Circa: 1980 AD to 1990 ADDimensions: 48" (121.9cm) high x 48" (121.9cm) wide Catalogue: V10Collection: Contemporary Art Medium: Oil On Canvas
