Victorian, circa 1870 Large Staffordshire spill vase modeled as a man in traditional highland dress standing beside a spill vase molded as a sheaf of wheat. Dull gilt base line and decoration. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. A few paint losses to the spill. Slight rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: over glazed chip to the underside; touch mark to the reverse; small piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to his kilt. Restored flake to his nose. 14ins high
