Pre-victorian, circa 1830 Staffordshire Pearlware triple spill vase in the form of two yellow birds perched in a florally decorated tree above their nest. Four sheep on the ground below. Green shredded clay decoration to ground and nest. Decorated all round. Hollow base. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Some small flakes to shredded clay and one to lower base edge. A few paint losses to brown enamel on one bird and to the spills. Some wear to reverse. Kiln effects: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to lower base edge. Restoration of one bird''s head. Restored chip to the other bird''s beak. Restored chip to right hand spill rim. Restored flake to left hand spill rim. 6.5ins high
