Pre-Victorian, circa 1820 Staffordshire Pearlware spill vase modeled as three sheep around a tree. Shredded clay and flowers on the ground. Decorated all round. Painted mark to underside. Generally good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. Chips to ends of branches. Some paint losses to the ground at reverse. Kiln effects: stray spots of green and brown enamel to sheep; kiln grit caught in the glaze to the ram; small firing pit to neck of left hand sheep; touch mark to reverse of left hand branch; glaze pops to tree and ground. 6.5ins high
