Victorian, circa 1880 Set of three Majolica vases. Urn shaped, on pedestal foot, with tapered neck. Decorated with putti and roses on brown stipple ground. Two putto draped in a loin cloth molded on either side of the neck. Turquoise band around the base. Mottled cream, green and blue glazes to rim and neck interior with the same glazing inside the foot. Vase 1 (Large): Kiln effects: small glaze miss to rose bud; stray turquoise glaze to faces of putto on neck. Restoration to fill a hole in the base. Vase 2: Kiln effects: small glaze miss to side and a few to the foot; stray turquoise glaze to faces of putto on neck. Restored flake to putto nose. Vase 3: Kiln effects: stray turquoise glaze to faces of putto on neck with glaze run from their loin cloths. Restoration to rim. Repaired bruise to base. 14.25ins and 12ins high
