Circa 1880 Rorstrand Majolica vase decorated with putti, leaf and floral moldings to the exterior. Dark gray ground. Cream interior. Impressed maker''s marks ''Rorstrand'' and ''AL'' to underside. Fair. No cracks. Chipping to some of the flowers and leaves. Small flakes to one putto''s feet and sash. Kiln effects: glaze accumulation to the lower base edge; over glazed shrinkage lines to both putto''s faces; some areas of thinning to the glaze on the base. Restoration of both arms and a leg of one putto. Restored tips to some of the larger leaves. Retouching to some of the chipped flowers and leaves. 8.5ins high
