A MINTONS PATE-SUR-PATE PEACOCK-BLUE PILGRIM BOTTLE, Dated 1872, gilt globe mark, signed indistinctly. Of flask form, the cylindrical neck flanked by gilt enriched lug handles, finely painted and hand-tooled in white slip with a wildlife display with foliate branches daisies, butterflies birds and other bugs done in white slip. Handles have possibly factory stresslines and some crazing as normal. Made for T. Goode and Co and large retailer. Circa 1872 and a fabulous example of early Minton pate-sur-pate pilgram vase.
