Victorian, circa 1880 Pair Staffordshire spill vases in the form of seated white and gilt spaniels. Bright gilt collars, lockets, coat decoration and base line. Yellow, green and brown painted ground. Similar pair illustrated on page 117, Schiffer''s ''Staffordshire Spaniels'' by Adele Kenny. Good. Rubbing to gilt. Right facing: Kiln effect: overglazed shrinkage line to face. Restored hole to underside. Repaired shrinkage crack to reverse of base. Retouching to ground and spill. Left facing: Restored hole to underside. Retouching to ground, spill and nose. 13ins high
