Early to mid 20thC Pair Staffordshire vases modeled as cows standing in front of a fence, above a stream. One cow black and white, the other brown and white. Fences are glazed in yellow and magenta. Two legs of each cow are molded free. Decorated all round. Good. Right facing: Three small flakes to vase rim, and another to cow''s nose. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack to interior at side; a few glaze pops to reverse. Repair running from fence down to base on one side. Restoration to fence point on other side. Retouched flake to cow''s right horn, and two flakes to base front. Left facing: No restoration. Several flakes around the vase rim. Kiln effect: touch mark to base front. 4.25ins high
