A Pickard hand painted, vase, early 20th century, Chicago. Signed by artist Eva Maley 1910-1912, 1912-18.Measures 7 1/4inches high.Cylindrical shape on a round foot. Two long gilded handles and gilded rim.Beautiful handpainted tropical waterscape with tall Palm trees above the water and a full moon behind the clouds. Soft greys, blues and greens. The vase is in excellent condition except for minor gilt wear on the rim and a superficial 1/2inch line on the back - visible only if you are really looking for it. Artist signed beneath the right handle Eva Maley, who did some sub-contracting work for Pickard and this scene is considered rare for her.
