Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica posy vase molded as three fish, rising up from a circular base covered with shells. The fish are all slightly twisted and are joined by their lower jaws. Pink interiors. Hollow ochre base with three stilt marks and painted mark ''13'' on the edge. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Very slight wear to two fish mouths and to fins on all fish backs. Kiln effects: a few tiny glaze pops to upper base and underside; some brown glaze run. Restoration to small flakes to one fish mouth and flake to lower base edge. 5ins high
