Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica posy vase in the form of a mythological sea horse galloping over waves, the rear half of its body forming a cornucopia shaped posy vase. Horse and waves glazed in brown, the vase glazed in ochre and green. Washy ochre glaze to underside with three stilt marks and a large vent hole. Generally good. No restoration. No cracks. Tight hairline to the horse''s left ankle and another to the right thigh. No chips. Kiln effects: very tight shrinkage line to the vase rim; a few glaze pops to the underside; a few pieces of kiln detritus; small glaze miss to the vase rim. 4.25ins high, 4ins wide
