Victorian, circa 1880 Majolica posy vase in the form of a bird, perhaps a robin, perched on the branch of a tree trunk. Turquoise interior to vase. Ochre underside. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. A few small flakes to robin''s tail, and one to reverse of vase rim. Kiln effects: some crazing; glaze accumulation to underside. Restored bruise and flaking to vase rim. Restored chip to robin''s beak. 5.25ins high
