Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica posy vase molded as two geese standing either side of a stream at the base of a tree stump. One of the geese is drinking from the stream. Brown, green, ochre and blue glazes to decorate. Painted mark to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Tiny flake to reverse of one duck''s tail and another to front of vase rim. Tiny bruise to front lower base edge. Kiln effects: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to side of base; small glaze pops to reverse of spill and underside; crazing to interior of vase. Restored chip to vase rim at reverse. 4ins high, 4ins wide
