Victorian, circa 1860 Large Staffordshire spill vase modeled as a lady sat beside a well, holding the hand of a gent beside her. Vase of flowers above the well. Dull gilt decoration and base line. No book reference found. Generally good. No restoration. No hairlines. No chips. Bruise with associated flake to her hat. A few minor paint losses to her over skirt. Slight rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack along mold join to gents side; shrinkage crack to the gent''s scarf, one to the fence and another over glazed to spill; overall crazing with a craze line to the reverse. 15.5ins high
