Circa 1820-1840 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin 17 1/2" Balluster Vase with greek key border. This vase recently came out of a house in Washington, D.C. Great vase with good quality and gilded lions on top left and right each with a ball in their mouth. On the front and back are gilded salamanders. Nice mandarin scenes in the middle of vase also on front and back. Their is also a smaller mandarin scene on front and back at the bottom of vase. At the top of the base at opening and also at bottom above the rim is decoration of roses with a black border. This means that this vase was made for the Boston Market. This vase is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or Restoration. This is on of two single vases we just purchases. The other single vase is 25" in height.
