A very rare pair of beautiful English hard paste porcelain vases in a classical Antiquity Greek shape. This pair porcelain vases have a beautiful blue background finely decorated in multi-colors of Paris and Helen in a fine chariot pulled by horses and gold gilt ... marked "No. 3/9790" in a pruce red ...transfer label in black "fac-simile of an antique vase; subject - Paris taking Helen Troy" This label was used by Smith Ambrose and Co. Burslem, England who were in business only three years in the 1780's. Vases are 9.25 inches high.....in excellent condition with only minor rubbing to gold.
