This is a lovely scenic vase by Josef Strnact of Austria. It was made around 1900. The vase is 8 1/2'' tall with a full scenic panel that covers both the front and back. The front shows a cherry tree in full blossem backed by Cypress trees. The back shows several tiny figures walking along a tree lined path. The puffy cloud filled sky is shown on both sides. The vase is signed JS in the shield mark and 7903. The condition is very good with some slight loss of gold at the top rim. This is a lovely chic decorative object. Perfect for Spring flowers.
