Pair of matte art pottery vases with Art Nouveau pierced gilt metal overlay. Made in France late 19th - early 20th century.Each vase measures 5 inches tall.Beautiful mottled colouring is not identical in the vases. One has shades of blue and green while the other is green and brown/yellow. Inside the former is deep sea blue with a mottled mustard/brown, while the other vase inside is a pearly combination ranging from cream to green. Tubular shape widening to a knop and ring-like handles on either side. The entire upper portion of both vases has a wonderful gilt metal openwork overlay, joining seamlessly with the richly gilded handles. There is some dirt on the gilding of one of the vases, but otherwise excellent condition. There is a raised 43 underneath each vase, but no factory name.No chips/cracks.
