Pair of French porcelain urns in the manner of Sevres and bearing hand painted Sevres marks in blue on the underneath of the bases, though not believed to have been manufactured at the Sevres factory. Circa 1880. The urns are hand painted with figures of a courting couple in a landscape, with raised gilt embellishments, and each is signed by the artist who painted these scenes. Each vase is raised on a porcelain pedestal in a cobalt glaze and with gilt accents on shaped bronze bases. Condition: no cracks, chips or repairs. The gilt bronze bases are marked on the underside 'L.HENRY.' Size: 9 3/8" ht. x 4" x 3.5".
