Exceptionally beautiful Royal Bonn, tall, covered urn. The level of artistry in this amazingly well preserved piece of German porcelain is very hard to find. This urn has some of the finest floral decoration I have seen, done in pastel colors with raised detail and set off by a deep cobalt blue back round and lots of raised, heavy gold gilding. This urn also has two elegant scrolled handles and a finely shaped finial all of which are heavily gilded. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Fine original condition, with light wear to the gilding on the base and top rim Fully marked for the fine German firm of Franz Anton Melhem (Royal Bonn). 9 " wide (at the handles) x 15" tall.
