Victorian, circa 1870 Small Staffordshire hen on nest tureen. Modeled as a colorful hen sitting on her eggs on top of a basket. The hen forms the cover, and the yellow basket forms the dish. Cream interior. Stilt marks to underside of dish. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Cover: Very small paint loss to tail. Dish: Some wear to yellow rim and flange. Kiln effects: touch marks to interior; small over glazed manufacture chip to exterior rim. 7ins high by 7.5ins wide
