Victorian, circa 1870 Large George Jones Majolica salmon fish tureen and cover. Tureen in the form of a brown basket. Cover is decorated with a salmon fish lying on a bed of fern leaves and reeds. Pink interior. Stilt marks to underside of cover. Mottled underside to tureen with three stilt marks and painted pattern number ''2763'' in reserve. Good. Cover: Kiln effect: glaze miss to fish nose; uneven glaze application to underside around the rim. Restored chip to tail. Tureen: Small flake to rim. Repaired crack to rim on one side. Repaired crack across one end. Restoration of basket ''tip'' at same end. 24ins wide, 5.5ins high
