Circa 1820-1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Sauce Tureen measuring 8 1/2" from handle to handle and with a opening of 5 1/2". The height to the top of the mushroom finial is 6 1/2". This is a very attractivr tureen with very good quality and in very good condition, It is very colorful as in rose mandarin and well gilded, This tureen would make a very attractive and decorative part of display. Almost in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The only flaw would appear a have had damage to the lid at some time point since the finial has appeared to have been re-fixed and the break properly restored as has presumably a crack in the lid cover. Those are almost undetectable as the cloes-up images will show.
