A late Georgian period cream or sauce tureen circa 1810. "Fisherman & Castle" blue and white transfer pattern. Information relating to this rare pattern can be found the publication "True Blue" by Gayle Blake Roberts. This small eyebath shaped tureen comes with a fixed base. This tureen comes with matching sifter type ladle which would separate the cream curd from the whey. These ladles themselves are extremely rare.
