Large soup or vegetable tureen, Willow pattern, dating early 1800s. Early Staffordshire, it has some faults - as to be expected for the age - a little crazing inside the bottom, a chip and small hairline crack on the rim, firing crack to one handle join (in the manufacture) and a chip off the lion finial to the lid. No maker's marks. Measurements: approx. 25.5 cm high, 30 cm wide and 20 cm deep. A great display item for a dresser - and could still be used if treated with respect.
