In 1885 the Minton China works introduced a picture tile series entitled ''Views'', Pattern No. 2024. These tiles were designed by both William Wise and L.T. Swetnam. Their similar style makes the tiles difficult to identify who designed what unless the tile contained an artists cipher ( some do and some don''t). These transfer printed tiles are done in the sepia and white tones. Over a dozen different ''views'' were produced. Condition of these tiles are in excellent unworn and uncrazed condition with minor roughness on the edges.
