Extremely textural in it''s execution, this tile plaque is deeply incised and molded in relief. The white glaze is a frothy dead matte, and the bird is glazed in a glossy and rich orange. A nice image of a strutting crowned crane. The back is unmarked, and the clay is a thick brick red faience. The top has incised holes and wire for hanging. The condition is excellent.
