A lovely Mid Century Modern tile by Knabstrup of Denmark. Made of red faience clay, this wall plaque measures 7 inches wide, 6 inches tall, and 1 inch thick. The vintage tile is hand formed and the front has an image of a woman, sitting under a wide striped umbrella, surrounded by potted flowers and plants. The raised white lines are filled with translucent glazes of blues, purples and aubergine. The back has a factory installed hanger, and a partial paper label,.as well as an ink mark for the Knabstrup company. The condition remains excellent with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
