This is the first time I have ever seen this design, a fruit bowl in the Art Deco manner made in the mid 1930''s by the combined companies of American Encaustic, Franklin Faience, and American Olean. The glazing is exceptionally well done, with a mixture of matte and gloss glazes to give the images of the fruits and bowl depth. The back is unmarked on the dust pressed body. The condition is excellent. One of the best examples of this size tile I have seen.
