A press molded tile of the green man wearing a crown, all surrounded by a wreath. Covered in a warm amber yello majolica glaze that thins over the high points to add dimension. Unmarked on the back, it is identical to some black basalt firebox tiles from ESCOYEZ LOUIS À TERTRE ET À HAUTRAGE c.1906. The condition is very good with minimal wear and remnants of mortar on the back.
