The Porcelyne fles company, more commonly known as Royal Delft, started a line of cloisonne tiles with matte crystalline glazes early in the 1910''s and continued until the 1960''s. Their logo stayed the same, an image of a pot with a TL and the town name Delft. Until about 1940 the TL was in the pot, Later tiles the TL is under the pot. This is an earlier example. A self framed tile of a landscape, a house and windmill the prominent feature. The tile measures 4.5 inches square, has the impressed marks on the back, as well as the the factory made holes, where a wire ir string was inserted to hang.
