This large grill or ventilator tile was painted in pink and green translucent glazes and fired. The colors remind me of old fashioned ribbon candy. The central flower has glittering gold petals, with a red center. Measuring 8 inches square and 2 inches thick the tile has a slight curve, which helps to keep it stable when displayed on a shelf. The back is unmarked. Overall excellent condition, it was de-installed and retains traces of mortar and shows some wear. Search for the companion piece, # 10040407, which has a square design.
