This red faience clay tile was made by the Rossman Company, in operation between 1907 and 1930. The deeply molded design depicts a pilgrim kneeling with his musket and his fresh catch of a turkey. The molding is fine on this old American Arts and Crafts tile. It is in unglazed red clay, allowing every detail to be seen clearly. Tiles by the Rossman Company are always hard to find, and this is the only time I have seen this image. An impressed ''R'' is on the back as well as the numbers 4600. The condition is excellent with one minor chipped corner. Combined shipping is always available at Bungalow BILL!
