This antique tile was made at Henry Chapman Mercer''s Moravian Pottery and Tile Works. From the zodiac series, this tile represents the astrological sign Cancer. The back has no markings, as is the case with old tiles by this pottery. Only the new ones have marks on the reverse as well as a date so as not to be confused with the antique tiles.
