A super Arts and Crafts tile of three roses, made by the Wheatley Pottery at the beginning of the 1900''s. Surrounded in a complimentary wood frame in a cherry finish. The tile measures 6.25 inches square and the cuenca design is covered in lightly curdled glazes. The back of the tile has hand incised and impressed numerals. The condition is excellent. I had this tile years ago in a 4 inch version, and it remains one of my favorite designs by an underrated company.
