American Art Nouveau is rare as hens teeth, but this tile by Robertson Art Tile of Morrisville, PA (1890-1930) shows that it does exist. The sinewy lines of the iris are set against a shaded light blue background. The back has the embossed mark ROBERTSON. The tile measures 3 inches by 6 inches and has been cleaned of all mortar. Tiny flecks at the edges and crazing are highlighted in the picture and are much less noticeable in person.
