This is a nice example of a four color tile made by the Grueby Pottery Company of Boston, MA. The glazes are nicely veined, and the tile is sharply molded. Condition is fine, with the exception or one old chip to a back corner. It is impressed with the mark ''GRUEBY BOSTON'' on the back and the numbers ''4085A'' on the top edge.
